My latest YouTube video. Bugs Basics #1: What is an insect?

This is the first in the new ‘Bug Basic’ series. In this video we go back to school and look at the basic structure of adult insects. We all know the drill: 6 legs and 3 main body parts.

We look at 6 different insects to see if it is easy to determine which body parts are which. As you will see, some insects don’t fit the classic model.

Do you know what is inside those 3 segments? Hopefully after watching this video you will know a little more about how insects function.
